The gardens are rich and mature, azaleas flourish in Lake Como’s famously even climate, there are ginkgo trees, red acacia, a bamboo forest and an olive grove from which the family presses their own oil.
The Kitchen Gardens have an abundance of fresh produce that will make its way to the dining table; courgettes and tomatoes, salad leaves, fragrant rosemary, basil and sage. In late summer you have sweet grapes, in autumn apples, and cherries ripen after spring.
