Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Very modern top floor open-plan apartment in house on main road between Agno and Magliaso. Kitchen was well equipped and both living and sleeping areas were large and comfortable, with the use too of a large, mainly covered terrace looking onto a vine covered hill. Parking is in a secure courtyard area in front of the house, and there is very easy walking access to the local train service between Lugano and Ponte Tresa. The hosts generously left some drink and food items which we appreciated.

Negative: Lack of proper curtains/blinds meant the apartment was quite light at night, and it was a shame that there was no proper dining table and chairs on the terrace.

Summary: Good base to explore this corner of Switzerland and Italy near Lugano
