Summary: Simple, clean & quiet boutique hotel with high quality comfortable large bed & pillows in a decent sized room. Staff were excellent & helpful prior & during the stay - we paid extra for a pre-arranged early check in. We planned to get the Metro (10 mins walk) however this was closed for weekend work which meant $$$ on taxis. Restaurant options are limited - this is a local neighbourhood away from the centre of Rome but found amazing deli & coffee en route. In typical Rome style, the plumbing was evident, the electrics not modern & amenities like an iron need to be borrowed from reception when available. We stayed in a Superior Double Room on the second floor (only the Economy rooms are in the basement & this is clear when booking). Would recommend to couples looking for a peaceful & safe neighbourhood away from the hectic Rome crowds.
