Serena seems like a detached house but it is built together with another house on one side. You have several Italian neighbors and can experience their everyday lives. The house is part of a "corte", which means a characteristic building form where the houses once were extended as the family grew.
The house is surrounded by a 800 m2 fully fenced garden with large grass areas. Here you will find the small private swimming pool. It has diameter of 5 mt. and a depth of 1.20 mt. and it is not sunken, making it suitable for children. Children in or around the pool must be under adult supervision at all times.
In the garden, you have nice views over the hills and next to the pool there is a furnished wooden gazebo, perfect for fresco meals.
Serena is located in the small village of San Ginese, among the hills dividing the provinces of Lucca and Pisa. An unexploited area where time seems to stand still, where you can experience small villages, where the locals sit on the bar and play cards and where you can find some apparently basic restaurants that serves delicious local food.
The house is divided into three floors. The style is rustic with wooden-beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. The decor is homelike and Tuscan.
Entrance from a small furnished veranda, living room with double sofa bed, fireplace and satellite tv, a bathroom with shower. From here a couple of steps lead down to a characteristic and colorful country kitchen (gas cooker, oven, fridge with freezer, microwave, toaster, American coffee machine, kettle, Espresso machine). From the kitchen there is access to the garden where there is a washing machine, a sink and a grill.
On the first floor there is a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower. A room with a double sofa bed suitable for children due to the low ceiling. From this floor a spiral staircase leads up to the attic with sloping roof and a double bed. From this room there is access to a small high railed balcony where you can enjoy the views over the surrounding landscape.
