Castello Mortellito is located on the sunny island of Sicily , on a hill surrounded by olive and lemon trees, about 3 km from Venetico Marina. On clear days you can see the Aeolian Islands from the windows.
The current owners, members of an old aristocratic family dating back to 1447, have restored and embellished it over the years. The house offers a magical atmosphere, a mixture of history and memories of the past, from the exquisite porcelain "Doccia", specially created for a noble ancestress, to signed photos of the Italian royal family, who had been friends with the family for two centuries. The castle is surrounded by several large sunny terraces, in the middle of palm trees, bougainvillea and giant strelitias. On one of these terraces is the beautiful pool (17x7m in size, 2m deep). The interior is furnished with elegant furniture of exquisite taste, from the large dining room to the wonderful library with many old and precious volumes. Heating and air conditioning available.
